I love the upbeat feel of this song and it's especially good if you are familiar with Winchester - a city I really feel at home in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNHcS0Bic78 - as ever true fans were used to make this video.

someone has posted one of my all time favourites on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeecXiqNzWA

This makes me so homesick and has always made me cry.  It was written by Dan Heymann in Cape Town in the early 80s, a response to the state of emergency under apartheid. The great Vusi Mahlasela said it may well be the best South African song ever written. I saw them perform it live when I was a student in about 1982 I think.

And my brother wrote the words for this Christmas carol. It was written shortly after the end of apartheid, when everyone had such great hope for SA. A good friend of his (professional composer) wrote the music. I love it. I love this homespun Costa Rican choir's version most of all. Watch out for the dude in the hat  ;)

Ah Ross Conway!  :)

I love the lyrics to this one - thought provoking about how we all need to be what and who we are! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dTYvOsgxJw&feature=related

Ah Taz, I'm getting an education so thanks! Used to be so easy to keep up but with electronic media and no kids, I've got well left behind  ;D

Song starts 30 secs into the clip. Old and I still find it makes me smile.
