I made a cup of tea for my husband and myself carried them into the sitting room, to which my husband replied 'darling why is the tea in water glasses'!! I didn't even notice that they were burning my hands when I carried them

I can also stand there for 30 seconds trying to think of a word mid sentence!! 2 hours later it will come to me and I'll shout it out, only the people I'm with then look at me wondering why I'm shouting out irrelevant words!!

Xx

I did a classic over the weekend.  My son has recently started a new job, and has to be there for 8am which is always a struggle for the young right?  Well woke up and realised I hadn't heard him moving about so leaped out of bed and woke him up - "its 7.30 you're going to be late" - to which he replies "It's Saturday mum"..... oh dear I wasn't popular.  Worst of all it didn't even occur to me to think what day it was - if I'd been switched on it might have occurred to me that my hubby also wasn't out of bed...... ::)

I can't blame the strange woman for this one.  We have a tap on an outdoor barrel which runs slowly so I put a can underneath the tap and wandered away.  Then forgot.  20 mins. later I was weeding and could hear the sound of a water feature then realised that no one has a feature ……… so half a barrel of saved rain water gone !

Give me a  :kick:  :-\

I'm currently rereading 2001, A Space Odyssey and as I was reading it the other night I seriously thought to myself, "I wonder what year this is set in".

Last night I'd hung OH's shirt to finish off drying (well get the creases out really) in the utility room over the boiler. This morning I asked OH to retrieve said shirt from the utility room. In he comes, bearing the shirt proudly, just the shirt mind. I queried the absence of the hanger, "you only asked for the shirt"  ::)

Always prided myself on my finances being organised without the aid of internet banking which I dont trust.  have a little note book write it all down and do my sums.

DH just got 'one of those' letters for bounced payment, he was just about to go nuts at them when realised it was one I pay.  I have just gone through everything, I know we had a bit of a blip at the end of July and had a lot to sort out to get straight again but 'should' all be straight now.  Somehow I have gone very very wrong, or I have been 'done'.  Of course no bank open now till Monday around here, and I cant go then as no time with work and appointments etc, dont have telephone banking either so cant talk to anyone without it.  DH is now insisting I go to bank, sort it out and get internet banking so I can see everything without doing sums in my 'meno brain'.

Quite sad now if it seems I cannot even add up anymore :'(  Be happier if I had 'been done'... thinking about it, might see if the one in town is open tomorrow, bit of a hike etc but worth it.

Have a look on their web-sites - they should give their opening hours!  Many are now open on a Sat. morning and some until 5.00 p.m..  You don't have to go on-line, it's a blip!  Make sure that you aren't being done though.
