Today I dropped my watch off at the jewellers for a new battery. Went to collect it half an hour later and had to queue for ages. And the heat in there - by the time I got to the front of the queue, I'd taken my coat off. And after all that, they didn't have my watch. Because I'd taken it to a different jewellers. ::)

:thankyou:  however: talking with friends of similar age-range we find we are all struggling for words - we have whole conversations without using the correct words and still understand what we are talking about  ;D

I do crosswords etc.; patience on-line ; but I still stand at the sink I have used for 30 years and wonder which tap is hot and which is cold ……. etc. etc. etc.!

Just chopped up apples to stew for pudding tonight. Put in pyrex dish then proceeded to try & put in washing machine instead of microwave. Think my marbles are on the loose again!  ;D

I can top the wrong side of the car stories.

When we go to Spain I dont drive as I dont think I could cope with it. The first time we hired a car, hubby was arranging things in the boot while I was getting myself all comfortable in the car, water bottle, toll road money, map etc. I could hear hubby chuckling away behind me but had no idea what he was laughing at.

Then I heard a tap on the window beside me and he asked if I had noticed anything strange.

I was sat in the drivers side and I hadnt even noticed the STEERING WHEEL in front of me  ;D

I've waited 15 minutes for my kettle to boil before realising it wasn't switched on.  Not to mention the washing machine that wasn't washing for the same reason.

Yesterday's bright idea was turning off the DVD player with my mobile while answering the DVD remote control.  Note to self: do not attempt to multi-task. ::)

But I did feel better last week - took my Mum out to get a new battery for her watch - it didn't go after the battery was replaced and then the guy in the shop realised he'd put the old battery back in by mistake  ;D  It's not just us ladies that do daft things
