Hospital took out chest drain. Plenty of pain relief. Warfarin. Now home to rest. In a bit of pain tonight

Hi Blossom, pain might be due to the anaesthetic leaving your system as this in itself would have a bit of relief in the past 24hrs.

Prob very normal, dont hesitate to contact the hospital again should this not ease off in a few days.

Feet up and rest in between bouts of keeping mobile.

I've got Codine and paracetamol had a good nights sleep. Need to keep arm mobile it's more arm and armpit than boob area. It's quite odd that the worst part of the whole thing was the news rather than the operation. That may change but so far I'm doing ok. Just need to book my bike test again lol

When is your follow-up appt.?  Were you shown gentle exercises for the arm before you were allowed home?

Arm is ok. Been out and about gently. Been trying to be slowly active and keep positive. Have today though woke up on a downer which knew at some point would happen. I've left a message for my Macmillan nurse to call me

Had issues yesterday, last night and this morning with my crohns plenty of toilet trips and tummy ache. Felt sick a couple of days due to Codine which I've stopped. Also come off HRT. It's a bit overwhelming today

You have my sympathy Blossom. I was on such a high after the op then the downer rears its ugly head.  Also had stomach issues which I found very hard to deal with.  Things have improved so much,but I take things easy as I think I tried to do too much at first.

Also you were starved prior to surgery so your gut and bowel need to 'catch up'  ;)

Did the Nurse ring?

I'm back in hospital brought in early Saturday morning no sleep constant toilet trips and nausea. Had tests and X-ray done. It's either an infection or because of the surgery it can affect the guy and back passage with drop in blood levels. So I'm being monitored
