Hi Blossom

Been reading your posts and just wanted to give you a "HUG", a young lady in our village is going through the same thing :( she comes to see us regularly ( we own a business in the village) some days she's more upbeat than others but we have a cuppa and a chat, she says she finds the strength but where it comes from she doesn't know!
Keep strong, your inner strength will get you through this and out the other side :)

If your near Tadcaster hugs and a cuppa are waiting xxx

Thanks, I have had a few good days, especially Sunday, met up with a few friends at the local Biker Coffee Shop, had a fabulous lesson on the bike in the morning and the weather was fantastic.  Struggling last couple of days, head is mush again.  I thought I was ok, but I am forgetting so much and stuff isnt registering at all.  Embarrassing really.  One of my male friends has been great, he sent me some photos of women that have had the op and had some tattoos done, they look amazing.  Not my sort of thing but at least his heart was in the right place

The date is getting closer, and I think subconciously im getting into a panic, with all this forgetfulness and I am soooooo tired

You are in shock.  My Surgeon insisted that I made lists over-night to ask him when he came to visit at breakfast.  I think you'll find that the important stuff sticks  ;)

Do you have a date to worry about?

Hi blossom, u WILL b ok honestly. Re the reconstruction i would advise to take ur time...have ur treatment first as some meds say treatment can affect the recon if done before.

We are all different, i found i had positivity and strength i didnt know i had! but i am going through phases only now of worrying will it return! then that goes thankfully.  Time is a great healer, talk to women who were diagnosed years ago and are flying today.....Clkd for example😉xx

I found that once I was 'in the system' with support from the Consultant and his Team, procedures flowed without too much problem.  My Consultant was honest about prognosis and his Team answered questions when he wasn't available.

I'm sorry to hear your diagnosis but thankfully you didn't ignore how things looked and got on to it straight away. Good luck with the treatment, perhaps things will be different once you start it. It's the waiting which is the worst. Take care.

Thank you everyone, really appreciate it.  I did get a call yesterday to advise of the op for 17th September, and I had to go in today to be taken off my Warfarin and use Tinsaparin.  It was way too short notice, my house is in uproar, my mum isnt available to help.  I have nowhere for the dog to go, and havent had chance to organise someone to look after my horse.  I was all planning for 1st October, as I was given this date to start with

THey will be calling me back today to discuss, talk about added stress

Hi Blossom22
They did that to me too.  I was expecting to go in for mastectomy at the end of July and they rang me on the 9th asking me to go in on the 13th! Not so long to worry about it I suppose, but as you say a lot of sorting to be done!.
Will be thinking of you.

No one called me back, so I called them yesterday and apparently there are two people in the office, both thought the other had called me.  Anyway, 17th has gone by missing my deadline for coming off my Warfarin.  The lady that schedules the surgery is on holiday this week, so will give them until Wednesday if I have not heard from them, I will call them again

Would full livery be an option for a very short while, or perhaps you know someone who would lease him for a while. We did that years ago and it benefited both us and the owner.

Anyway I'm sure you have already thought of that already.
