Hi,
I have just changed to Evorel 50 patches last Friday. I was taking Femoston 1/10 for 5 months and then Femoston 2/10 since September last year but my symptoms kept coming back intermittently. Anxiety was the one which bothered me the most.
I am only on my second patch but so far I must say I feel a lot better. Anxiety has lessened and I have slept a lot better too. The only symptoms I have left now seem to be neck and arm ache which come and go.
My doctor said that delivering the hormones through the skin was so much more efficient because you get the full dose from the patch or gel. With the tablets, so much of the effectiveness is lost as they goes through the liver etc.
I was halfway through my progesterone phase of my Femoston 2/10 last Friday and my doctor said it would be fine to just start the first patch that day which is what I did. Early days yet but I am very optimistic. Good luck x

Good news then Moonbeam as this is what you wanted.
I am on the conti version and am just fine. Stick it on and try to stop worrying. It has been a struggle for you to get this kind of HRT. I thought you had decided on a gel though.

Well as you wanted initially either a patch or gel you have got what you wanted.
You can start using immediately if you have not taken your pill today. Stick it on and take a note from the box what is your change day. I put mine on in the morning after my shower. Baby lotion will take off the sticky bits that are left. Put in on below the waist and nowhere near the breasts.
Sure you will find these very good.

Just try not to over think and worry so much about things. That in itself will probably do you as much good as the HRT.

Good luck Moonbeam. After all that deciding you came across an unhelpful doctor. Let's hope this works for you and you like it, otherwise you will need to bang on their door again in no uncertain terms - treatment like this does make me cross!!
However I have been using patches for years and am very happy with them. Don't forget you can eventually get an increase dose if needed.
Yes - stop worrying!!!

Hi Moonbeam, I have also been on them for about 3 years and have had a great result with them. I started out on 1/2 patch and increased it to full patch about 1 year ago. Only have little blips now and again. They also stick very well. x
