First Moonbeam, please never think you are being a nuisance, you will feel better than you do now but it may take a bit of trial and error.  I have suffered with the headaches whilst on hrt for years on and off and i am not that sure if it was simply the hrt as i DID STOP estrogen last August and i still got headaches so i think mine were more fluctuations.  I am very very sensitive to ANY change and perhaps you are too!

I am now 52 ovaries removed 3yrs ago and my headaches have eased - they are definitely not as frequent but i did add a little bit more estrogen lately and i got a constant pressure on top of head and my mood awful. I am going back to 50mcg and may even reduce again.  I know what you are saying about the awful meno symptoms, i think you may need a bit of professional help to find some balance and if that isnt your GP then insist and get referred to a clinic or even go private if you can afford it.

I agree with HBun if you leave off patch then you will know if your symptoms improve that it is too much estrogen.
Good Luck x

Great news moonbeam and hope you feel better soon - it is so important to be listened to and to get the proper advice and treatment you need. Also great you have been referred to a meno clinic! I think all women who have had a total hysterectomy should be referred to some sort of specialist as a matter of course.

Hi I will be putting the Estradot patch on tomorrow but after reading the leaflet that comes with it I am confused, it states to put the patch on the belly just bellow the waist line, i dont want to put it on my stomach as I have a bad wrinkly stomach , covered in stretch marks can I put it on my butt ...  thanks

Hi moonbeam,

I'm on the same patch as you and I'm sure it is meant to read below  the waist and nowhere near the breasts. I put mine on thigh and bottom.

I hope this helps.

Thats what I thought but looking now at the leaflet and the pictures it show it put on the stomach just below the belly button and it reads , apply the sticky side of the patch to a dry area of your lower abdomen.  Put I am currently using Evorel and have it on my butt, any body have any ideas on this matter ,thanks xx

Moonbeam I believe there is better absorption if you put on your butt but either is ok.  Just stick it on and hope for the best ... Hope you get on well with it!  From reviews it also seems to stay on better on the abdomen.

Moonbeam, I have Estradot and I put it low on the abdomen, below the panty line. I have found it sticks brilliantly there..but I don't think it matters..on your butt is fine too. Good luck, hope they work for you.

Hi ladies can anyone help been on Estradot 50 for 12 days and been ok except for last night I didnt sleep had some of the menopause symptons back, ie flushes feeling weird and bad nausea, was hoping things were going to get better, my moods also have not got better either and dont seem to want to anything , I am not new to HRT been on Climavil 2mg for a year and changed to the patch due to having stomach probs, I have been sticking the patch on my butt but I think I should try and stick it on my stomach as stated on it leaflet and see if that helps, I wish to GOD that things would work as I am tired of all this, still waiting on a date to see the Meno clinic, sooner rather than later xx

You are bound to get ups and downs in the early days so try and be patient.
Can't see that changing where you put the patch will make much difference but if you want to try then fine.
I have mine all over the place. My hip, my thigh, my bum. It really makes no difference.

Hi Honeybun I have very little patience , I was hoping as I have already been on HRT that it wouldnt be too long to work , but I guess less than 2 weeks is not long enough,  I am tired of feeling like crap, I am sure people think I am a hypochondriac, I just want to feel good and get my life back   xx
