Listen to your body?  Rest if it requires rest.  The dust will be there tomorrow, next week, next year  ;)

Mags the first thing I did every morning without fail was have a shower & wash my hair. Since my black hole moment I go days & days without doing my hair. It falls out lots when I wash it but that is just an excuse I just can't be bothered. In fact I have a bath & do my hair seperately now. BUT I did have a shower today, probably cos of docs appt.
Glad you are still brighter though, you can still be brighter & not want to do stuff. On the way back from the docs my husband took me outside a house for sale he looked at with my daughter on Sat as her bf was at work, I couldn't go with them sadly. But it was really strange I don't know if you have ever worn glasses for distance but the first time I ever did colours looked brighter & sharper.   We had a little drive round afterwards & things looked really nice I can't explain it like everything was in colour. Its been nearly 2 weeks since I was last out so think I had better start going on a few drives myself as it felt so nice. It was a very strange feeling. Clearly the sertraline working but I couldn't find fault with anything if you know what I mean even Little Tesco looked cute. Ha ha now I am going mad xxx

Hi Bev and CKLD- I'm glad I'm not the only one to feel I can't be bothered to wash my hair and shower-I too used to do it every day.  I haven't really got up properly today- went downstairs a couple of times just to make a cup of tea and then ironed a couple of pillowcases later as our bed  needed changing- luckily the duvet cover didn't need ironing so got it done but felt very tired later.

Bev- you did well to get to the docs and it's great that you enjoyed the drive round- you must have felt better if  even Tesco looked nice! How was the appy by the way- hope it went well.  CLKD you are right  about the housework but  I just wish that I wanted to do it- I Know I will have to be patientxx

Well Mags at least you have nice clean bedding, that is a job in itself & something easy to put off when you can't get out of it. See what tomorrow brings. Just be kind to yourself & do what you feel like doing.

I got some co dydromol for my period cramps & have booked another blood test to check my hormones, luckily I had already asked on here a few wks ago what is the best day to test so have booked for then. If they still show a low figure I guess HRT will not be offered.

Another day nearly over, it has to get better doesn't it. B xx

Bev - at least you got something for your cramps- hope the hormone test goes ok, I had mine done five years ago when still having periods and my  fsh levels were 81 and  then had them done  again last  yr -PRE hrt and they were exactly the same even though by then I'd gone  over a year with no periods- the dr was very surprised  and her only explanation was that my ovaries were very tired and she said that sometimes  we  can go more than a year-say2 and a half with no periods- and still be in peri, all very  confusing!  Hormones eh!  wish they would just go and take a running jump and take the tired ovaries with them-hahax

Well done Bev.
The setraline must be kicking in I expect.

Mags- I'm like that in the mornings can't be bothered to shower and do my hair but I force myself.
I feel better for it afterwards.
I think I did too much today.
I had the urge to clean and did the bathrooms out.
I then felt drained and low.anxiety crept in. :-\
Will I ever learn? ::)

Nope!  Evenings are still my best time so if anything is pressing then I make lists for the next day.  Each is ticked off so that at the end of the day I can see what I DID achieve and the stuff left over, goes onto the next list.

Mags no wonder I got no hrt. Until today I had no idea they had to be high not low to be in peri, my fsh was so low last time. So when you are in proper menopause what are they supposed to read? Here's hoping mine will be higher next time.
Hope you & your tired overies sleep well tonight x

Bev.: as mentioned here several times, blood tests are notoriously un-reliable for meno results.  Hormone levels alter many times within 24/7 and there isn't a true way of telling except for symptoms.

I agree with CLKD. When you asked what time if the month was best we told you there was no best time. You would be much better to print off the information from the green menu and go prepared to discuss your symptoms. I have been reading what meds you are on though and to be honest it might be a bit difficult to see the wood for the trees and throwing HRT into the mix might not be helpful.
Perhaps settle on your current medication and then see if you still feel as if HRT is needed.

hello mags, sorry to hear you feeling so rough, u sound exactly like me circa 2 years ago, I'm much improved, still have blips but they seem to go quicker. I fit helps read through my posts just I case there's anything there that may help. I used to post more regularly but I generally dip in and out now, but oral ways resonates with me when I read a post like yours. Menopause/perimenopause can be so awful, and I still look at other ladies in our age group and wonder if they having an easy menopause and why can't i. Anyway sending cyber hugs x

Hi JJ and thanks for your very kind post-this meno thing is really awful isn't it-I -should be used to it by now because it's gone on for so long- when it used to come in cycles I would at least have some respite in between but now it seems to be continuous  it's very  hard. Glad that you have improved-how did you get through it?  I know ladies who have sailed through with hardly any symptoms and think they are very lucky. Big hugs to you tooxx
