Your post reminded me of when we had a Russian lad to stay on exchange when my son was in a youth orchestra - he brought us many little gifts from Russia which he gave us at breakfast each day - so generous - we helped him to get the jeans and stereo ghetto blaster that he badly wanted to take back home. He was part of a Balalaika and dance group.
