Lower back and abdominal cramps
« on: October 30, 2025, 11:27:19 PM »

Hi All,

I’m 52 and my HRT regime is Evorel 50 and 100mg continuous Utrogestan. I was still having regular bleeds before starting this regime.
With the agreement of my GP I wanted to take the Utro continuously to avoid a dip in my mental health- I have had GAD and depression since my late teens.
I haven’t had a period since starting this regime but have recently had cramping in my lower back and abdomen, with a sharper pain occasionally in left lower abdomen. To be blunt I feel like crap.
Could these symptoms be my body screaming out for a period? Should I take the Utro cyclically? Perimenopause is a minefield and I’m so fed up 😭. These aches and pains aren’t helping my anxiety as I’m convinced that something sinister is going on  :'(
To clarify- I have had a few blood tests including CA125 and have had a vaginal swab, all of which were clear.

Thank you for reading ❤️.
