hi, I am new here but i believe that in peri you cannot really rely on estrogen levels as it can goes from 71.6 till 1309 pmol/L depending in what stage of the cycle you are.. not sure if it helps.. sorry ;-)

Aw thanks so much for replying!
Also I had 2 night sweats in the ame night....I wasn't about yo chabge the sheets at 2an! Just used the hair dryer lol.
So is this my sign to move up yo 100mg I stead of snipping it down?
Hope someone replies as I'm alone now

The NHS thinks 250-300 is reasonable but many private practitioners like to see 400. As above, levels are more useful post meno as you can get huge fluctuations in peri but if you have symptoms you can ask to increase. Just be aware that it's unusual for the NHS to prescribe more than 100mcg so you may have to private if your levels drop further. What time of your cycle did you test?

I'm not sure because I'm on the combined pill aswell.....GP knows. Because my peri was so extreme at yhe start the both patch and pill work good for me ...I get regular scans in London and all is clear. I do have bleeds too....as in schedule them in.

So yesterday I snipped it down a tiny bit again just to see, last noght I coukd feel a bit damp but tiny bit om my chest. So you think I need to move up ,I've had bad moods anger too ....but this coukd be from withdrawal from antidepressant? But the swears give it away right? So at the mo I'm about 94 95 .....shoukd I just put the 100 on? That's what the clinical pharmacist said at mu GP surgery ......been in peri since 21. So yes I guess you're right....im getting more fluctuations now you think? Does it get worse as it goes along ?

Does low oestrogen cause bad anger spells?
I can't make out if it's my patch at 94/95 ir of its from my withdrawal symptoms..as I had these anger spells when j first got mu withdrawal it was terrible...but what's happened since I've taken 5 b12 jabs and I was told not to go high with b12 by an expert on withdrawal.......the numbers went too high and I gotcryjng anger .....angerhas been the most this time .... it's terrible. So do yiu guys think it's the withdrawal clashing with the b12 which ut does do in people in withdrawal I've experienced once b4. Or my patch?

I think il leave my patch as it us....is quite high anyway aslong as the night sweats are not there.
This is all came on after the b12 habs I shpukd gave known better as I was told by experts in America go low with b12 it doesn't sit well with ppl in withdrawal....I didn't listen they were so right now I'm suffering fatigue, anger, crying. Deffo withdrawal I recognise its but the pat h made me think ....but it was always ok at this level until the other night I git 2 sweats in kne night so I snipped it up a bit ....didn't get sweats. Any thoughts goid friends? Coukd need it right now xxx lol yiu all also much .....like a family to me xxxx

Your oestrogen levels will fluctuate according to your own cycle and if you can't tell where you are in the cycle or you can't test at the same point in cycle the results can be pretty meaningless and it's better to go on symptoms. And stress, grief and withdrawal symptoms muddy the waters too as you may be unable to tell which is causing your symptoms. I think you're doing the right thing leaving the patch the same for now, you can revisit it if you need to when the other issues have subsided. In the meantime put yourself first and try to take it easy. I hope you feel better soon  :bighug:

Not sure if it helps but I get anger mid-cycle (post meno but I log the 28 day cycle) for 2 days. I also used to feel it around ovulation but not at the end of the cycle. Not sure if it’s from high oestrogen or falling oestrogen but feel much better after it passes. I never used to get PMT like most women but it feels like that sounded like!

Hello Vicky81.

I think leaving your patch as it is would be a good idea, at least you will have some stability from the same dose and if your night sweats are controlled your sleep should be better.

I completely sympathise with the frustration of it all. I am post meno and taking a break from HRT, so far I have noticed physical changes that I can deal with but the emotional stuff is still a work in progress unfortunately.

I hope you feel better soon and sending hugs.

Take care.
