Just to be clear if you are on the combined pill as well and taking this reliably (which is most unusual and not advised in addition to menopause hormone therapy) then you will not be having an ovulatory cycle of your own.
The withdrawal bleeds that the standard 21/28 day combined pill regimen results in are completely artificial, this is not menstruation and confers no health benefits - it was simply built in for paternalistic reasons so that women wouldn't think they were pregnant.
If you are on a combined pill with ethinylestradiol, this is not picked up by plasma estradiol tests but is MUCH more potent than than the estradiol in the patch.
The concurrent use of the combined pill makes it impossible to interpret or advise based on your blood tests because goodness knows what your overall exposure is, including both the synthetic and the body identical.
I know this has been prescribed for you by your own clinician but it really does deviate significantly from even what the most liberal menopause specialists would consider safe practice.
So Bombshell - would you agree what i am taking in the patch and pill is too high? Just want good solid reassurance from an expert like you - as i said to Sheila ive been getting jittery anxiety - especilay in my head when i turn it, or walking.......thinking of cutting it down again by a small sliver ....if night sweats dont come back maybe ive found my good spot? and if after some days i still have these symptoms should i snip again?
