I'm not sure yet what we'll do to celebrate.
He wants to get back to work.
Back to normality first.
Think we'll go away somewhere near the end of the year. Or maybe just after, to celebrate my 60th too.

Little steps.  Once the euphoria of good results wears off jillydoll, he may find himself absolutely knackered!  Perhaps long weekends occasionally to recharge?

Aww I'm sorry Disco. Sorry your feeling so bad.

Same with me, after 3 months nearly, my symptoms were back.
I started utrogestion and estrogel 11th January,  and now I'm great.
So bear with it, and hopefully you'll feel the same.
I started on 3 pumps, but because the hot flushes were still happening,  I went up to 4 pumps. Now they've been eradicate completely.
Tbh, I sleep too well now,  ;D (If there is such a thing), and sometimes the sleepiness rolls over to the next day. But, hey, I'm not complaining.

So good luck. Anxiety is the pits. You'll get there! 🤞👍

Fingers crossed tomorrow's a new beginning for us. 🤞

discogirl - did your GP suggest anti-anxiety medication?  Even if anxiety is hormonally based, appropriate direct treatment can help for 3-6 months.

Me - nicely weary  8)

Hi clkd

I would take anti anxiety meds however I'm on amitrypline for nerve pain and as far as I understand I would need to come off the amitrypline to go on the anti anxiety meds and I'm nowhere near strong enough to come off the amitrypline yet. I need to taper off it anyway x

I would check that info with a pharmacist.  I was prescribed amitripytlene for trigenimal neuralgia and was taking various anti-anxiety/depressive medications   .  No one needs to suffer!

Me - too early to decide

I was told the same. My dad was on amitriptyline for rheumatoid arthritis pain but needed an SSRI (citalopram) for his depression. He was told he had to taper off the amitriptyline first due to the danger of high blood pressure  by mixing the two (which could remain high even after stopping the two drugs) and also the risk of serotonin syndrome. I think that's what it was called. He decided that he would be even more depressed if he stopped the amitriptyline so didn't bother with the SSRI.

Taz x

Did the drug ease his pain Taz?

I think that 'serotonin syndrome' is a recent expression  :-\  ???
