i will check that out clkd. i always thought tricyclic ads and ssris couldnt be taken together. but thanks for the info.

I was told the same. My dad was on amitriptyline for rheumatoid arthritis pain but needed an SSRI (citalopram) for his depression. He was told he had to taper off the amitriptyline first due to the danger of high blood pressure  by mixing the two (which could remain high even after stopping the two drugs) and also the risk of serotonin syndrome. I think that's what it was called. He decided that he would be even more depressed if he stopped the amitriptyline so didn't bother with the SSRI.

Hi Taz

That's exactly right, its so much hassle coming off the amitry I've just decided its easier to stay on it x

:thankyou:   Rain.  Not being able to book a holiday due to anxiety  :'( but yes, improved as the day went on.  Stuffed now after beans on new bread.

Hi ladies 👋.
I'd take Jaypo up on that offer, CLKD. I hear she does a lovely breakfast 😋  ;)
Glad you're feeling a bit better..
Mum did go for afternoon tea. She didn't eat that much but she enjoyed the experience bless her. The garden centre had a few photo opportunities so it was nice - just trying to create as many memories as possible now..

Ouch Jaypo - I felt that  :o ;D
I'm sitting reclined in my chair. Lots of housework done today. Shattered! I used to be able to whizz round being super efficient and still have lots of energy left - not now 😳

Absolutely over the moon...my first grandchild was born last night...a baby boy💙. After the hellish 4 months I've been through this is the brilliant news I've been waiting for...life starts again now for me.
Hope all you ladies have a great day !!!
