Thanks ladies. 😊

Can't wait to see him tomorrow,  although I admit, I'm scared.

Of course you are scared. It's early days ,but today was a good result, focus on that if you can. Your emotions are in a right upheaval.

Will someone be with you when you visit, to help talk to the medical staff and make some notes if need be? You might not be able to take all the info in yourself, things may feel like a bit of a blur, plus it will be good for you to have some support too

Yes our son will take me.
Your right, I'm all over the place tbh, but having my son there will help.
It's been exactly how the doctors expected,  no surprises at all. So, it's a good result.

Thanks everyone. x

He had a good night, and he texted me early this morning.
They're doing all different things at the moment with him. But if there's a bed on the ward later, and everything is OK they'll move him.
That's just so brilliant after major surgery.  Hope he continues to improve. 🙏
We're going up about 12 ish.

Thanks Littleminnie. 😊
Still a long way to go, but he's 3/4 ways through it all. He just needs to stay strong and me pushing him.  ;D

Yeah.......sitting in the chair when we got there.  :o AND he'd been for a walk with the physio.  She told us he's doing well, he's done today what people normally do on day 3.

Tubes and pipes everywhere. Which he hates. But in all honesty,  he just doesn't look like someone whose just had major surgery.   :o
Still early day's yet. But if he carries on like this, he'll soon be home.  :)

So I suppose it's fair to say that was a success  ;D  I think with his determination and your strength behind him, the outlook is far brighter than you may have feared. Yes recovery can take longer than we may wish... But, today is a good day.bet you're smiling! Thanks for giving us all some happy news

Thank you SarahT & Jenna.

Yes I'm smiling, a little bit scared too tbh, I'm worried it'll be short lived. BUT yes. Today was a shocker and very welcomed.
After what we've all been through lately,  seeing him like he was today is just amazing.  It just went against everything we'd thought it would be.
Hopefully he's off to a normal ward later.
Fingers crossed 🤞 nothing holds up his recovery.
Then we can get onto the next and last part of his treatment.
