Can I have a moan - about M and S Food yesterday went in local store and having been in M and S food in Berwick last week and bought 2 of the nicest fillets steaks I have every cooked( was on hols and we were treating ourselves) I thought would take a peak at what ours had......not the best and £2 each more expensive.

Can't believe the difference.....needless to say it will be back to Morrison butcher on Saturdays when hubbys birthday comes round.

Hubby laundry on line after his week away....sun shining

Why not use a local butcher?  It may be a little more expensive than supermarkets but the quality is often better.  It's like care homes: 1 pays for the whole package - raising the beasts , transport to market sales, transport back to the farm or slaughter house, then into the butchers' shop .......... we have also cut down on the quantity of meat eaten at each meal.

Our chippy serves HUGE pieces of white fish, enough 2 feed a family of 4  :o so we buy a piece each plus double chips.  The chips crisp up lovely in the air frying the next day ;-)

Laundry blowing outside.  Not a lot else though  :-\
