Thanks Optimist, I popped a half an Evorel 50 on just to see and I am feeling a lot better. Will see my gp in a week or so so hope to get sorted then.
Kris.s I've had two Mirena coils the first one about 8 years ago for heavy periods and I also had fibroids which I later had UFE for.
When the GP and meno specialist suggested another one I really didn't want it because the first one put me off. I felt as if it wasn't in properly an every time I walked I could feel it even though my current GP (who is great) said you should feel nothing. I had the first one taken out after a few weeks, I just wasn't comfortable.
This time it was completely different I never felt it go in, I did with the first. This time I was surprised when she said “that's it, all doneâ€
Afterwards I felt fine, no cramps, just a
Very mild ache for a day that was it. I've occasionally had a bit of period like pain, but nothing else.
If I were you I'd give it a few days and if you're still uncomfortable go back and ask for it to be checked, apparently in rare cases they can move slightly but I think it's more likely with a very heavy period, although if that's not right I'm sure someone on here will give us better info.
Hope it settles down for you xx
