Hurdity - thank you for the advice regarding sugar. The morning feelings do resemble hypoglycaemic attacks, jelly legs, shaky etc . Although been having nausea and hot flushes the last couple of days so may be it's loss of oestrogen.

Whooops - not Emma, I meant Abby

Thanks for your advice, Hurdity. Thus far I haven't had a return of hot flushes or night sweats - the only time I've had these ever was when I stopped my HRT suddenly previously from 2 pumps of Estrogel. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these won't rear their ugly head over the coming days.

The fuzzy head today continued until about 3.30 pm, along with anxiety, depressive feelings and wobbliness. Curiously, this comes on about an hour after I take my dose. I really do hope this settles as it's very unnerving to say the least! :o

Forgot to ask, Warwick - when are you taking your tablet now? Have you changed from the morning? Excuse me if I should already know this. Brain fog....... :'(

Hi Tempest

Since Monday I'm taking it at 2:00pm with the intention of going to 4:00pm next week.

I agree about being unnerving >:(

I think I need to change to evenings, Warwick. I feel better now after about half 3, which roughly mirrors your experience doesn't it? Just had a wonderful supportive chat with Hubby. He really is brilliant and trying to keep me on track.

Thank you so much to you too - you really are helping me to keep going with your kindness.  :) xxxxx

How's it going today, tribe?

I won't bore you with the details, but much dizziness, foggy head, lethargy and dull pressure headache today........Feeling altogether 'blah'.  :-\  I was ok first thing, came on again about an hour after taking tablet (same old, same old).......

Hope you're all ok? xxxxx

Really do try bedtime Tempest where hopefully you'll be asleep when these effects are taking place.

Hi Tempest and all other TT sisters

Well I know exactly how you feel Tempest  :( and to be honest I'm wondering if I'm ever going to settle on Tibolone. I have a return in hot flushes since yesterday and woke in the night with the familiar adrenalin surge in the middle of my stomach...... grrrr

It's 8 week today, start my 3rd pack tomorrow :-\

Mornings are still the grotty..... dizzy, spacy, jelly legs foggy head. This morning woke with bilateral hip pain........ I really don't know what to do ??? if any of the ladies who understand whats going on please, please advice.

Oh, bless you Warwick!!!!!!!!

Could it be because you've changed the time of taking it slightly again? Our bodies are very sensitive and can react to even quite small changes. I still think too that maybe your body is trying to to get used to the change to this type of drug and also from coming down from the 3 pumps of Estrogel. As you know, I came down from 2 pumps and I hadn't really been using HRT consistently or for very long. I do hope this is what's going on! Is Suzanne still about to give you some reassurance? Sending some much deserved hugs your way!  xxxxx

P.S. I wonder if Suzanne's flushes have now settled again?

Hi Tempest

I agree, more symptoms this week since changing the time (only by 4 hours) or is it like Hurdity says coming off a high dose of oestrogel ?? I have been on HRT without a break 7 years :-\

I just want to sleep until it's all over :'(

DH wants us to do something at weekend, but not sure I'm up to it......

Warwick if your hot flushes and sweats return (or don't disappear) after you have been on it for 3 months then it sounds like the oestrogen dose is not sufficient for you. However could you ride it out for another three to see if the flushes lessen? Otherwise I would go back to conventional HRT - whichever preparation suited you best - I can't remember why you decided on Tibolone in the first place?

Hello ladies.

I have a prescription for Tibolone waiting for me but I've yet to collect it.

I just wanted to send hugs to you all.

Warwick - I know how you feel! My periods ended nearly seven years ago and it seems all my contentment and self confidence died along with my ovaries. My husband is sympathetic but I panic about doing anything ‘special ' and  worry about having a panicy surge while we're out together, at least if I'm on my own and local I can quickly get home. I agree that sleeping until it's all over is very attractive, alternatively I wish my husband could magic it all away but sometimes I'm more anxious with him as I don't want to let him down.

I hope Tibolone brings you all some improvement soon and I will continue to follow everyone's progress closely.

Take care ladies.

Kathleen :welcomemm: don't be put off by me, lots of ladies love Tibolone ;)

Hurdity - I was advised by my new Consultant to try Tibolone as he swears by it. I have used Ellest duet, femseven and oestrogel with separate northisterone. However the last three years things have become both unbearable and unmanageable. Dizziness/off balance, anxiety being the main issue for me. The Consultant thinks a combined HRT like Tibolone will improve the balance issue. I also felt agitated and wired also feeling clammy/sweaty every morning.

I will start my 3rd pack tomorrow, stick to the same time and see if things settle - thanks Hurdity x

Kathleen - I didn't realise you had been prescribed Tibolone. I hope you don't mind my saying but aren't you 60 or nearly so and I wondered if the doc discussed stroke risk with you and whether you have any risk factors? Because stroke risk is age dependent and is increased on HRT and Tibolone, I understood that starting tablet HRT is not usually advised for the first time at 60-ish - although I'm not sure how this works if you've already been taking HRT as you have? Not wanting to put a dampener on things as I'm probably being ultra-cautious but just going on what I've read, and I know it is an individual thing! What a blow that you are still suffering while on HRT - I still think it could be due to the product you are on though (the continuous norethisterone....).

Ladies

I've just read that Sphere27 has been on Tibolone for 2 years, maybe you could chat to her and ask her to comment here as that kind of feedback for you (and the thread) would be helpful x
