Hi Annie - poor you :( I'm sure like Tempest said it probably a one off. I have read it takes 3/4 months to get full effect.

Tempest you sound much better today  :). I made sure I had sugar on my porridge this morning. Had my first hot flush this morning too ;) not complaining as I expected more at this stage. I am reluctant to say things seem to be improving because things change day by day with Tibolone.

Oh well off to prep for DH coming home later.... wink, wink :-*

How are we today, troops? Well, yesterday was pretty s##ty from 10.30 am onwards (again). It seems to be after the tablet kicks in. What a flamin' rollercoaster! You can tell I'm getting cheesed off, can't you? Hope you're ok Warwick and Annie! Sending hugs to the newbie Tibolone ladies Anjia and Abby. xxxxx

P.S. I'm day 33 today..... :-\

Morning Ladies

TODAYS SYMPTOM IS..........lol your so right Tempest a roller coaster >:(

From yesterday afternoon been feeling weepy, emotional, low mood and lifeless (no energy) this morning hot sweat again, jelly legs. On a positive note slept well, dizziness better. There seems to be something new every day. I suffered low mood, depression when on progesterone HRT.... hope this clears soooon.

That's me..... will pop in again later Wxxx

Anjia - early days for you and Emma. I felt like this first couple of weeks then it lifted. I am 7 weeks in and it's just returned  >:(

Oh well tomorrow is another day!

Annie - you may need some ovestin cream along with Vagifem to keep everything moist. Nothing worse than feeling sore and burning... >:(

Emma - hope your feeling ok

Warwick - it is not advisable to start eating sugar! You don't need it on your porridge especially if you didn't have it before! Half a banana would be better....If Tempest has a blood sugar problem and has been advised to eat sugar by her doc that is a different matter. Eating sugar is the surest way to mess up blood sugar levels. The porridge is great as would be an egg. The less sugar you eat the better - and also fewer pure refined carbs. Reduce carbs to slow release ones ( like porridge, whole wheat products, or the carbs in beans and pulses) and increase lean protein if you can. This is the best way to stabilise blood sugar if you have no underlying problem ( and even if you do eg "pre-diabetes" - tendency to insulin resistance.

Girls - I am sure your bodies are reacting initially to the reduction in oestrogen from your previous regime and then will have to adjust to the steroid oestrogen-like metabolites from Tibolone. It may well  be that for some of you the dose is insufficient to give the same sympotom relief as oestrogen did - but for others - the perfect solution  ::)

Who is Emma?  :-\

Hurdity may be right.

I wasn't on any HRT before Tibilone (other than Vagifem), which may be why I've missed out on a lot of the symptoms that those of you are getting when swapping from something else.  It may take longer for you ladies to settle down?

I would definitely recommend Ovestin plus Vagifem for any VA, the Ovestin has made a massive difference for me.

Weird Sooze because I was on 75mcg estradot before but have had a relatively smooth transition in relation to the poor other ladies here.  I had 2 bouts of vertigo episodes but that was the week my eardrums burst and I lost my hearing so really I think that's why I was so dizzy.

Probably the night sweat was the reduction in E and I must admit it was on my mind last night as I went to bed (dramatic I know but that sweat literally soaked me and left me feeling weird and knackered like they did years ago) but I slept all night with no curly hair this morning
