'they' don't listen to themselves ........
. We have someone locally who complains about X, Y, Z to us then we see that he has done X for example himself
I don't let it go, pointing out the previous conversations about X and how is he any different

Saw the first house with Christmas decorations yesterday. It just ruins the specialness (is that even a word??) of Christmas when they've been around for 2 months!!

Can I confess I bought my first present for hubby today.....Oral B toothbrush.
Small steps that's me......worked really hard last Sunday trying to convince him to go away for Christmas to a holiday cottage we
both like.....but no - was told it wouldn't be Christmas unless we were home!!!!
I can almost hear Mariah Carey whinning away with All I want for Christmas

I buy presents throughout the year, when I see something good, but don't decorate until the week before Christmas.
I insist we go away for Christmas. OH suggested we didn't this year but has been persuaded

Well done, putting foot down with firm hand worked then?
We buy gifts when we C them. Years ago we would buy in the 1st Jan Sales: when shops discounted items not like more recent years when Sales happen all the time. Things would be wrapped, labelled and put away into a box ..... as long as I was able to remember where the box might be we were good 2 go on C.mas Eve.

It’s a hectic time, I’m on several rotas at the church so it’s either flower arranging/church warden duty/YouTube live streaming/ coffee tea and biscuits. Or stewarding the extra carol concerts and other popular concerts with performers from around the globe. My daughter is a church organist so it’s mega busy for her too she has three churches, one in Surrey and two in Norfolk that regularly employ her at the moment. Plus all the other stuff like presents and Christmas baking. Pickled some shallots this week. Will soak fruit in alcohol in the week leading to ‘stir-up’ Sunday. Also got my daughter’s birthday on 1st December! And occasionally get to go to work when I’m lucky🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
