4 weeks today it will be all over 

On the top of a wardrobe for 3 years I've had a few boxes of decorations: got them down yesterday, 1 needs repair, 2 I can use the rest I will sell.  Mainly ones that I have made over the years with fake flowers, berries, tinsel; in baskets or C.mas boxes.

Criky, I wonder sometimes why people bother to take down their festive decorations, driving through the countryside over the weekend at dusk, every man and his dog has decs up already

Agree. When you can buy stuff all year round it's no longer "Christmas stuff", it's loses that special element

I agree - we have C.cards that we have sent to each other since 1970 so we may begin swopping - that will be green and we won't remember which year  .  Including padded ones, any1 remember those, in large boxes?  Some of those will be in a chest in the Attic .........

I meant to say that last week I was very excited to see the Coke Red Lorry going by, on the back of a trailer.   . I thought that it was something that went round Stateside, I wasn't aware that we have the Coke lorry ?   

I need 2 sort out the' cards to send list '  .......

We don’t put decs up until 1 week before Christmas, it’s too cluttery to have up for weeks on end and my house is already quite cluttery! Especially with a piano and a harmonium and three cats. It’s only a three bed semi, not enough room for all our accumulated things. Fitting the tree in every year is always a challenge. I expect the kittens will have it over straight away and repeatedly……….
