In the shop today,
They've got Halloween stuff, dressing up stuff, blood, and all of that, one side ,
And on the other Xmas stuff......!
Why can't they let us get one over with at a time?
Sometimes I feel so sorry for the families whose kids just want stuff from each side, I know they have to learn that No, means No, but it just puts pressure on the parents, who are probably finding it hard to make ends meet in the first place....
It's all gone mad, one at a time please shops!

I still think it a good time to sort out the tat, and send it to the charity shop, in time for someone else  ;)

(Thus relieving me of the emotional burden of it  :) )

Or to your local care home?  Or some such, perhaps food banks would take it.  After all, people need stuff as well as food ;-).  I am taking sanitary protection to ours on a regular basis.

I'm not doing cards this year.  It will be hard work enough wrapping the few gifts we give out  :-\

Went to a Hotel for morning coffee and their tree was thrown into a corner, leaning backwards and it looked as though the decorations had been chucked from a distance  :D

I love Christmas and I love to see all my grandchildren do their looong lists for Santa and it's a joy to see their faces on the big day, same as it was with my own children.we go to each of their houses on cmas morning exchange our gifts and play games or help set up their Santa gifts and it's such a happy time for me.when they lived abroad it was Skype that got us through it so now I appreciate those special days with them.its been hard for a few years because of the fear of socialising caused by meno but I pushed my boundaries with that one and somehow managed it and actually enjoyed on the day so this year it'll be extra special.we don't do dinners we come back home and have our Xmas dinner with each other and let their wee family units do their own thing and it works.im all bought wrapped and waiting for the day now lol.no bah humbugs allowed here 😘DD

Glad that you enjoy it.

We can't pop in anywhere, it's a 2 hour journey to get there.  They all live in the same area but even so .........

Started my shopping today the dining room is looking like Santas grotto all today's purchases were for the grandchildren.I love Christmas Day but hate the shopping etc in the lead up to the day. Every year I say I'm going to get it all done early but it never happens.
Like DD we see 3 of our 4 grandchildren on the day which is lovely but don't have dinner with them.
This year we're going to my sisters for our dinner so no cooking for me  :) .
