Little steps.
I started healing by going into the store alone, looking at items then leaving with out buying anything. Worried more about being tapped on the shoulder re shop lifting

There are medications to ease anxiety - I have found Bachs Flower Remedy mouth spray useful! Deep breathing can help. Walking from the situation, usually for me up a quiet alley

and then once calm returning. I do better if I'm alone (apart from DH). Don't have to justify myself then ;-).
We have ponds. I can sit by them OK as there is plenty to keep my eye busy ……..
