;D   No need to spray pledge on spider, just around window frames to stop them comming in. I don't kill 'em. x

How do you know they come in through the windows?
We dont seem to have spiders upstairs, just downstairs and I dont leave the windows open downstairs. Unless they dash in when I open the front door, I think must come in some other way.  ;D

Oh good grief!     Its pouring with rain today here, so beastie might want to come in, especially as cooking a roast, and window ajar!!!

I can't see much difference in them being upstairs or downstairs?   ;D

My  niece has just sent me this You Tube of the Peacock spider. It has the most amazing courtship dance and it isn't as scary as it sounds. I am putting it here in case those of you who like spiders haven't seen it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-nmeYirsvA

Would himself agree about octopus in the bedroom CLKD?!!!  ;D

Taz, this daft spider routine, is not normal for me during Autumn and I think it might be just be easier to get a spider catcher!  I live in a first floor flat, so if Littleminnie's theory is right........ :whist:

Haven't plucked up the courage to watch spider u-tube yet.  X

Good CGI Taz  :-\ ........ a bit too choreographed to be true ?

it's pouring here so spiders are knocking on the windows to be let in  ;)

Taz
The peacock spiders actually looked quite cute (can't believe I'm saying that).
They look like they are made of pipe cleaners ( memories of arts and crafts classes at school) but I still wouldn't want to be up close and personal with one!

There is this one too - at around 4mins in you can see that the movements are quite rhythmical but I agree there could be some editing on the first one to make it more dancy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GgAbyYDFeg  and at about 5 minutes in you can see him come to an untimely end - eaten by the lady...
