I agree about the venison CLKD. Daughter said same thing about venison sausages, disgusting!

Tasted more like hung in a sweaty sock!  ;D

Exactly - I couldn't think of the right words for it.

Cold chicken, leftover from Sunday lunch; oven chips; green beans cooked a la Raymond Blanc; spicey chorizo sausage; glass of apple juice.

Last night DD and I had one of our staple meals when there's just the two of us - pasta with a 'sauce' made by mixing Light Philadelphia and lacto-free cream (DD is mildly lactose intolerant, so she reduces her intake where it's easy to do so), broccolli and hot smoked salmon, with a good squeeze of lemon juice.  Yummy!

Scampi - do you know that you can now buy lactose-free Philadelphia!

Yes Jenna, but my local Asda hasn't caught on yet!  Lady P is fine as long as she's reasonably careful with the lactose, so a dollop of light Philly is not usually a problem.

The trouble with venison grill steaks is they are sort of minced and mixed with other stuff. I have never had any luck with them.

Tonight cooked by my son is....scallops wrapped in Parma ham with black pudding, samphire and courgette ribbons. Followed by strawberries.

I keep asking if I can help but it would seem not  ::)

Tomorrow is something from the poshest chippy I have ever seen.

Well we are on holiday  ;D

A lot of "other stuff" HB. Think I might have  :sick02: if I'd eaten any more.

My future DIL ate too much at Shard last night & she was  :sick02:

Now I do like the sound of the scallops, parma ham & black pudding. Never tried samphire.

Tomorrow we're going Italian at local restaurant.
