Had lunch out today (red pepper and tomato soup with crusty bread followed by banana loaf with toffee sauce and honeycomb ice cream. Think I hit all the food groups with that!) so was not fit for my tea. Had a sausage roll - rubbish!

- I was full-up half way through your list Bramble
DH took me out for a light lunch yesterday in Leamington Spa and for a light lunch today at a NT Property. Later he is cooking strips of chicken with mixed veg. and home grown spuds on the side.
The pulled pork sounds a lot of hard work, why not cook the joint and carve gentially?

Cold meats, pate and salad.
Can't be bothered cooking to be honest.

Is it warm 'up there', too hot to cook?

It's warm and dull but not to hot to cook, it's just been a trying sort of day. I would even go for fish and chips but I can't be bothered doing that either
And my car is going off for a service tonight so I won't be able to sit down properly for ages yet.
Ok I will stop moaning now

You moan away - car going off for a service relates to not being able to sit down for ages how exactly
- not piles again

Daughters boyfriend ...the mechanic, is doing the service. It will all be done tonight including tyres. He will be coming back later with the car so I can't be in my dressing gown.
Good news is...it's done. It's amazing how quick it can be done when it doesn't go into a garage.
Oh and cheap too
Going to have a shower soon.
Ok this is nothing to do with dinners

Yep salad all gone.
I'm getting fed up of salad now, I've had it in different forms all week.

Lamb chops, potatoes and green beans followed by tropical fruit tarts.
Not done anything in the way of preparation as yet, really should get a move on
