Criky be careful what I wished 4
. Hottest 3 days ever ....... glad that I'm not at Wimbledon etc.. I don't think that Country Shows should take place with animals either, they don't have a choice of whether to attend/not. It's up to humans to make their decisions.
Neighbour is back from Glasto, I can hear her on the mobile ......... at least she survived. Something about not being enough showers

Too bloody hot. 🥵
I’m indoors today, I’d die out there, I don’t sweat. 😰😱

33 in our car this afternoon, had to go out to the dentist
and then supermarket where it was lovely to stand and look at the ice cream selections
Rain on Wednesday - of course it will, it's F1 B Grand Prix at Silverstone and Wimbledon

34 here in the microclimate of our little close at 3:30 pm when we went out to the supermarket and 32.5 on the open road a few miles on. A gas engineer was here just beforehand servicing our boiler. He turned the thermostat up as far as it would go (30+) and all the radiators came on. I was ironing at the time & it took me a while to suspect foul play.

Still warm. Fortunately the zero-fit cooling shirts wash/dry in about 20 mins. I actually wore a skirt yesterday
Ironing in this heat ............

Yes I know CLKD, but I was OK ironing until I realised the heating had been switched on
. Of course, the gas engineer had to do that in order to check the system was working. The annual service was prebooked & I had forgotten they need to turn on the heating every time. That has never been a problem before so it took me by surprise yesterday. Unfortunately the house didn't cool down much after he did that & I found last night one of the most difficult I can ever remember as the bedrooms were even more stifling than usual in a heatwave. The house is made of reconstituted stone & the walls heat up like a storage heater, getting hotter day by day in a heatwave. OH has one of those floating coloured blobby thermometers on his desk in the smallest bedroom he uses for an office & that was showing >25 at 6am, so no wonder I was awake most of the night thinking the heat might actually kill me this time!!

Like U I had a bad night, partly the heat and partly worrying about who will water the plot in August when we are away for 5 days. I think that's sorted! At least I changed the sheets .........
Very warm. I've stripped the initial layer of clothing and put on something else, eye test later hopefully the room will be cool!

I wasn't aware that you liked the warm weather Taz
. It's intermittently overcast, very 'heavy' and looks like rain that never falls
I believe that Bamburgh in Northumberland had storms on Tuesday

Much cooler and very blustery today. I've had to remove the Summer wreath from the front door as it keeps banging. Loudly
. Still dry so will need 2 top up some of the water holding barrels ready for when we R away. I'm arranging for a person to 'do' our watering ;-)

It's lovely. Sunny and hot. I can live without the hot but not without the sun.
