Ok so I think I will definitely up the dose next week and see how things improve. Am guessing that because I am 7 years post meno and have therefore been without oestrogen for some time, two pumps probably isn't enough.

Thanks again

I was taking 7 day Utro but the PMS symptoms were horrendous plus the Utro was giving me joint pain first thing in the mornings. So I've opted with this option stay on the Estrogel and have a Mirena fitted. No idea if it will work mind.

jmargaret - You are only just starting out, so if it does not settle utrogestan may not be for you?  Provera is the alternative or a mirina.  Unless you try either you will not know if they work for you.  I cant take provera at all in any shape or form but utrogestan is ok for me.  Yes I get down but because its on a cycle (but I use a long cycle) I know what to expect.  Once its gone I'm fine.  My alternative is to give up hrt altogether which would be akin to a death wish for me.

Unless you try a cycle and vaginally too for 3 months you will never know what will happen.  Then after that you need to try another progesterone for 3 months and see what happens and so it goes on until you either give up or find the right thing that you can live with.

Hello again ladybt28...i did reply to your kind reply on other post. Im not going onto all different threads asking different people the same questions..im merely just reading and enquiring..and chatting on the forum.
I took all you said on board....but i wasnt as you know querying utrogestan itself...was querying the regime im on and other regime alternatives and always good to read others stories and ask.

Hi guys

I'm after some advice I've been on estrogel 6 months 2 pumps and has been great except hair shedding I have swapped to estradot patch although still shedding but only day 2 , how long will it take to know if if it was the estrogel causing the hair shedding - as I'm hoping by changing to a patch it will stop the only other thing I'm worried about is the estrogel was great for my VA symtoms and I don't think the patch is working as well as 2 days on it and can notice the difference in vagina x
Thank you ladies

Hi Tracey e

No I have no progesterone as had full hysterectomy 5 yrs ago so ovaries removed.
But I have only been on HRT estrogen only 6 months and in that time I've had lots of hair shedding I didn't have any hair loss prior to starting HRT

My blood work is all fine have had all that tested have also seen hair specialist who has said the likely hood is hormones have triggered it but not sure if medication itself or imbalance between estrogen and progesterone or just low estrogen ?
Thanks

Hi Sammie, it may be the imbalance but tbh my hair loss has increased since taking Estrogel. So I'm wondering if there is an alternative estrogen I could take..

I woke this morning after an unbroken nights zzzz (was utro nigt last night - i take it alternate nights) and aldo stsrted bleeding yesterday which im convinced is my own cycle kicked in (im.peri)  - i feel bloody knackered. Like a zombie almost and just want to zzzzzzz. No motivation. I did up my estrogel dose an extra half pump eaterday and today (from 2 to 2 half).....could it be too much for me? Felt ok yesterday! Could it just be the bleed contributing also? Hate this. Hate hrt so far. My energy motivation and enthusiasm is rubbish. Feel poo. Mojo doesnt seem to be coming back!! Little rant over!
