Hysteroscopy and biopsy results
« on: November 14, 2025, 02:37:50 PM »

Just noticed on the NHS APP my results were sent to my docs surgery on 6th November. I presumed I would get a letter in the post and was agonising because it was 5 weeks since the procedure, only to go in the APP and find it. It wasn’t straightforward to locate, as I missed it when I looked the other day. It’s a relief, as it’s said that biopsy included a small polyp that was clear, and no tissue was taken from lining as it was ‘Atrophic’ and thin. So why on earth two ultrasounds at two different places earlier in the year registered it as 9mm! So odd. In the meantime my stomach discomfort of twisty stabby yukk pains 24/7 continues. Now what can I investigate next. Or maybe I need Hrt. Or to switch my brain off. I’ve had two full blood counts and two CA 125 clear tests and a poop test. Clear. My last ultrasound showed a 31 mm cyst in my right ovary, which I’m getting re checked next month. Every day my whole abdomen is like a ‘sack of hedgehogs.’ I sit in the bathroom at night pee time commiserating with myself, and the mystery continues. Anyone else had a long wait for results the accidentally stumbled across them? Oh well I’m pleased with them so that’s a bonus!

Since my hysteroscopy & getting the My Chart App I get messages to say when there is a letter or results on it. Are you signed up for that within it ?

Biopsy clear, huge win. Ultrasound sizes fluctuate, cysts can grow. Twisty pains with normal labs usually aren’t cancer. Push for GI/gyn follow-up, track everything, and don’t ignore persistent pain.

I did an econsult with docs at the beginning of this week. Appointment not until 8th Dec. Everything takes so long. The only reason I got the gynae appt and op was because I went private, otherwise I’d still be waiting for the appointment. The dr referred me on a two week pathway in 19th August. I couldn’t, after more than several weeks keep waiting so I took it into my own hands and paid to see the gynae. She couldn’t get a sample in the day so I had to return and gave it under G.A. On 10th October. I’ve got another ultrasound booked for 1st Dec to check again, the cyst was described as a ‘simple clear fluid filled cyst.’ I had a complete abdominal ct scan October 2023 when I was having similar symptoms. They disappeared in 2024 and seem to have returned with a vengeance. My back and hip have been painful too. Couldn’t afford both to be privately MRI scanned , and as docs just gave me physio appointments where she basically told me it was mild arthritis without scanning and told me to do exercises, I arranged a private MRi which cost £380. Lumbar and sacral. No pathology, just wear and tear, slight spondylosis, very slight disc bulge etc. I’ve tried my best for months now using and utilising both the docs and what private docs I could arrange/afford. I’ve certainly been chasing it up. But it still feels day after day that I’m scratching my head and it never goes away. Everything seems to take so long. I honestly believed that I’d have found out what’s wrong or going on way before Christmas, seeing as I started feeling weird in spring. But it has been evolving ever since. I think the current all over abdominal stuff is the last couple of months or so. It’s the time frame that gets to me. Every day that goes by I’m worried that I could be helping but don’t know how.
