this one makes me want to head for Spain and the sun. The guitarist sadly passed away in 1997. I would love to have heard him play live

I thought of this one today: "I am a woman in love" by Barbra Streisand.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIH4k2hXyXY

Don't know why, just came over all sad and wistful, longing to be young and in love again...

.. or even older and in love...

Frank Turner tries to speak Czech http://frank-turner.com/blog/  He looks so tired!! My son met up with him in Tampa last week for a few drinks and a bit of a sing song and did say he was happy but exhausted. I worry about him - in a motherly way of course!

San, I like that. I'd never heard of him. Are you a drummer then?

different sort of drumming entirely, but I've always wanted to see the Kodo drummers. I saw a night time open air concert in Cape Town with another Japanese drum ensemble and it was mesmeric. The Dalai Lama was the main speaker and they were a 'support act'.

Forgive me behaving like a proud auntie, this is a made up TV program that my niece appeared in at Uni, she is the main presenter on the left.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6A0V2PuPaDY&feature=youtu.be

It is a bit long, but I was amazed how confident she has become at Uni as she was such a shy sensitive girl, she is hoping to become journalist/writer and is already writing for a business magazine.

I did worry that she would find University life difficult but she has settled in very well and I am so pleased for her.

It's always fantastic when you can see someone blossoming SL. If she is hoping to be a journalist then she will have to toughen up and it looks as if her confidence is growing. The fact that she didn't mind you sharing it with us shows that she has found her feet.

You are right Taz , I always hated public speaking and was taught to speak slowly and no "ums" there are a few there but for a first attempt I think its very good.

Her sister hopes to follow in her footsteps to,  and I am hoping Uni will do the same for her, she is the one has the social phobia and is extremely shy and selfconscious but does see a therapist now and is improving.

I think it proves that University is worth the work and effort that the kids put in academically and for their emotional growth. I know that some say it does not prepare them for the real world but I  am hoping for the girls it will.

This is post is half tongue in cheek but after having the flu vaccine late last year, and then getting the worst "bug from hell" earlier this month, I do wonder  :o
