I have been a little in love with him since I first saw him play on TV last year.

I would love to see him when he comes to the UK this year, he puts on such a spectacular outside performance in Europe and Australia and I do hope it goes down well here ( and the weather cooperates)

Perhaps you could take in into PCworld for them to look at it, it might need some more memory added or is it ram?

Other then that you are going to have to invest in a new laptop, you just can't miss youtube of the day ;D ;D

San, I like that. I'd never heard of him. Are you a drummer then?

different sort of drumming entirely, but I've always wanted to see the Kodo drummers. I saw a night time open air concert in Cape Town with another Japanese drum ensemble and it was mesmeric. The Dalai Lama was the main speaker and they were a 'support act'.

It is a bit long, but I was amazed how confident she has become at Uni as she was such a shy sensitive girl, she is hoping to become journalist/writer and is already writing for a business magazine.

I did worry that she would find University life difficult but she has settled in very well and I am so pleased for her.

Her sister hopes to follow in her footsteps to, and I am hoping Uni will do the same for her, she is the one has the social phobia and is extremely shy and selfconscious but does see a therapist now and is improving.

I think it proves that University is worth the work and effort that the kids put in academically and for their emotional growth. I know that some say it does not prepare them for the real world but I am hoping for the girls it will.

People go to show cattle and sheep. There are the usual SWRI displays etc. Its been more or less taken over, as most of the shows have, by horses. There are more horse classes now than cattle. But if they keep it going all power to them.

Aberdeenshire has about 1 show / week in July and into Aug. Hard going if you're showing beasts I can tell you.

Turra Show ( Turriff to give it its Sunday name) used to be the biggest Agri show in Britain

The concert was a mix of beautiful, gentle songs and brilliant knees-up stuff. It's been coming here for years but we only switched on to it now.

I have a lovely friend in America I have never met, another friend who I know personally but now lives in Switzerland they all add richness to my life.

I really don't believe that this is the norm for most children and teenagers, they all go to school, college and University all have friends, they all use technology to keep in contact, always wanting to know whats going on, its the 21st century way of life.

There has always be loners and people who don't mix so well ( some even like it that way) , but I don't think that its fair to blame todays technology. You can't put technology back into Pandora's Box.

That's my take :)

I appreciate that not every person is like this but watching people nowadays it is quite unusual to see people not checking their phone while walking around or sitting in the pub or restaurant. We have quite a few couples who come into our local pub who get their drinks, sit down and then just "talk" to their phones or tablets for most of the evening - hardly speaking to each other at all. Everything in moderation I suppose. I must admit I tend to text instead of phoning quite often - means I can text a conversation while doing other things but the human contact is lost.
