It does though; like you don't like Summer so I don't like Autumn because of those 2 days, too many bad memories and anxiety opportunities.

Ah so you do like Autumn and Winter but you don't  C and the things associated with it? I just don't like the light, long bright days of Spring and Summer. No reason just prefer the short, dark days

Only recently watched the whole of Bridget Jones Diary for the first time (14 years too late) - love this track from the dinner party (blue soup) scene - so dreamy ....

That certainly gets you moving! African music is so full of emotion somehow. It must be really uplifting to sing?

In contrast my track of the day is slow and downbeat - Journey of the Magi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRuE1bk1Lus. I've put this version up as it has the lyrics which I love but which may be difficult to understand depending on the sound ability of your "device". It's lovely live particularly when he sang it in The Union Chapel Islington just before Christmas.

That's a really interesting and unusual song Taz - I haven't heard that one. He's obviously well educated and thoughtful! Not sure what it means - well I should say - quite why he chose those particular characters from history?  I don't know anything really about these guys he chose, but not sure about Moses and his dubious history though?

However the sentiments at the end could apply to us all - we can either play safe or take risks and do things outside our comfort zone??? He's got a great voice too!

He's passionate about history and, yes, well educated but I'm not sure about how much poetic licence there is. I like it as a song though. He sings another one called English Curse which is about land being taken away from foresters in the New Forest by William the First.

That takes me back sparkle!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs069dndIYk

I like the bounciness of this and the sentiment of getting on with things no matter what's thrown at us https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4IZbCl6iR4  It always gets everyone dancing at the FT gigs.

Yes I heard that earlier. I can remember my mum and dad losing lots of their favourite musicians and filmstars but I didn't appreciate quite how it made them feel at the time.
