Hi
I've had bad fluctuations (unknown to me) while taking yasmin as the SHGB took a hold if it and stopped it from working as yhe estrogen was too much So it got binded.
GP agreed last night.
I've had bad anger ....just like in 21 when my peri started ...smashing stuff hitting radiators cowering shivering in ghe corner of the bedroom it was bad ....Dr's near knew it was peri ....they nearly took me away seriously it was embarrassing as I work in this field.
So these fluctuations have come back to haunt me and I can't take it any more. Yesterday again anger .  No one in the flat just me throwing cushions , punched the set of drawers, then the crying comes ....exactly the same as 21 even GP said you're fluctuating.
So I'm day 3 today of my pill break bleed and boy have I shed already ...
So my question....primarily to Bombsh3ll if that's OK....and everyone too.- how soon can I start this Slynd ..  .I'm getting desperate can't go out or anything .....I usually leave yye bleed til about day 7 then back to yasmin but this time it's been alot worse.....alot worse! I was going to give it til noon ish today see if the blood has gone down/ not alot there and start today what do you think,?
I shed alot last night (sprry) a big piece ws at the bottom of the loo no wonder I had pains lol.....please please help as they want me back at work on 22nd which is next Wed I know things don't work straight away but I'm desperate.  Please help I'm at yhe end of my rope and not coping with my terrible presentation....love u all xxx vic xxx

Just start it now, there is nothing to gain by waiting.

It is unlikely to stop the bleeding straight away but it should lighten and tail off over the coming days.

It might take a few weeks but if you take the slynd consistently every day with no breaks, most women are bleed free after the first few months, and those who aren't generally only have light occasional bleeding or spotting.

Ahhhh bombsh3ll I was hoping you'd come through!
I've just had a questions and answers with a obs gynae who agreed you can start today or we say between days 1-5 of your bleed is OK....I asked if ny patch woukd raise this SHGB he saud no cos the patch bypasses the liver. He explained that the fake estrogen in the combined pill goes through the liver and over stimulates it creating alot of SHGB which can then bind it....that's what's happened to me he said .
He said 7-14 days to suppress, and about 2-6 weeks for my mood and energy to take a shift . Xxxx

Bomb I'm gunna give this slynd a go but by hiw many weeks woukd you know it was giving yiu fatigue?
It coukd just be me but I've had bad fatigue fir weeks and weeks nit knowing what's causing it ....every blood test lots of mri scans....now it could have been this SHGB going up and up without me knowing obviously.....so I got more fatigue when I took the provera fir 3 days, they sent me home from work, then when bleed came even more fatigue I was crying with it. Today is dsyc3 I'm still bleeding but not heavy as I took Slynd at 10.35 this morning.
I'm soooo fatigued can't tell u. My partner says it's cos I've halted d the bleed and my hormones must be evershere cos the synd is trying to suppress .
What's your thoughts please? As I don't want a pill making me more fatigued that I have been..
.if hts the case it is the Slynd how long wpuod you know? 2 weeks? Cis I have work yo think of too.
And what woukd be a good second in line? Cerazette? Hope yiu don't think I'm jumping the gun but I've been suffering fatigue ages now nut it's not chronic fatigue syndrome I've asked plenty of Dr's. I took b12 injections 4 .months ago which rocked my nervous sytem and gave me fatigue which it did last time i tried it in tablet form, the withdrawal site im on always tells ppl to go in very low with b12 and i didnt they were so right ...last time I got yhe numbers checked 2 week ago it was still high ....high fir someone in withdrawal.
So it could be thst . I don't know . But this afternoon I've felt so awfully fatigued I'm sat up in bed.
Just need your thoughts and advice please 🙏

When I have ever taken progesterone/progestins they make me feel worse for about 3 days as they are displacing oestrogen from the tissues. Once that passed through the bowels, there was an immediate sense of relief.

Definitely keep at it for a few days at least.

sorry hun I'm no good at this ....but what do you mean displacing estrogen? I'm still on the patch estrogen patch.....do you mean it's getting rid of estrogen from say a previous estrogen or combined pill through the tissues? If yiu coukd kindly explain like I say I'm not that hot on all this ....I hope you reply xxxxx

If I try to explain it, I will not be scientifically correct as it’s so complex!

In layman’s terms, there is a fine balancing act between progesterone and the other sex hormones. Hence, we take progesterone to calm down oestrogen’s ability to grow cells so, yes, it does have a lowering effect.

We also store a lot of oestrogen in the tissues, that does not show up in blood tests, which tends to be the more dangerous type and when we lose weight from fat cells or have high levels of progesterone in the blood, this oestrogen will enter the blood stream and go through the bowels to exit.

Ahh ok so is this a good thing for me? As in side effects or anything to worry about?
Like I said I'm still going to be on my estrogen patch too ....I justxwabted a progesterone only pill that woukd siuppressthe ovaries as I've been fluctuating badly.
Am on the right path you think? I started Slynd progesterone today.
So I need to allow it to settle? Cos obviously as bombsh3ll said I'm still bleeding as it won't stop that straight away
So am I safe abd doing the right regime (,up to now) ?
Xxxx
