Minusminnie- One GP said I would have to go the full 3 months even if my symptoms worsened before she might consider a referral. The other GP just said, loading dose again then back to two a week and if that doesn't work she would not prescribe again. A much nicer GP who prescribed Estriol cream for external use has now left the surgery- maybe I would have got somewhere with her. There is another GP (male) but who knows what he would be like (I expected that women would be more understanding

) and it is very difficult to book a particular doctor as no GP is in on every day.
sheila99- You might be right about repeat prescriptions but even if you are, I suspect it would be impossible to prove it. I live in Nottinghamshire. It would be very interesting to know if there seem to be across the board, standard county-wide prescribing policies or if it depends from surgery to surgery within a county. There is a wide variation of experiences among women here and quite frankly there shouldn't be.
