Hi, I am having a massive problem with Utrogestan. I take 100mg vaginally days 15-27, oral administration made me full of rage and panicky and sleepless.

I've been using this regime for years, but recently I've found the Utrogestan is causing restless leg extreme, insomnia, extreme heat and general agitation through the night. I know it's the Utr' because I don't have the symptoms during the estrogen only part of my cycle, and it begins within about 30 minutes of popping it up my flu. Also, one night, as soon as the restless leg agitation, ect. started, I doused out the Utrogestan with the shower hose and all became calm in my body again.

It negates the positive effects of estrogen/HRT.

I've been in peri for 5 years, I'm 51. No idea if I'm in menopause, but I'm tired of having periods, they're so painful now. I want to stop all that.

Would any one recommend the Mirena coil instead? Or come off HRT all together?

I would recommend a different progestogen rather than stopping altogether. Many are happy with a mirena (I'm one) but there are synthetic oral progestogen you could try too.
