tingling inching and burning
« on: June 05, 2025, 09:15:49 AM »

Hi I am 3 years post menopausal  62 year old and on HRT
I am experiencing  tingling at night all over body including tongue.  I an also suffering from inching of the skin where pimples on my skin seem red and inflamed.   At first I thought it was a second case of shingles as my legs were burning badly.  Has anyone else experienced this as it is driving me mad and I find it difficult to sleep at night. I also suffer from vaginal atrophy and yeast infections as well! I use 1 and a half pumps on each leg plus a progestogen tablet for my HRT regime. Has anyone else suffered these symptoms.  Menopause is hell on earth I must have it least 15 different symptoms. These are my latest ones I wonder what is coming next.

Hi - there are lots of symptoms that arrive with The Change as hormone levels rise and fall. Itching mayB due to a drop of oestrogen.

Has the yeast been diagnosed with swabs and treated?  Often when the vagina becomes dry it can itch high up mimicking thrush.  R U using appropriate vaginal atrophy treatment every night?

Which 1.5 pumps has been prescribed?

It mayB that you have become sensitive to food/alcohol - I've altered my diet a lot in the last 3-4 years to avoid that awful bloating, cutting out hidden sugars and replacing with cutting out chocolate and biscuits using agave syrup instead of beet sugars in my T.  Croissants, scones etc. are also out.

Do U use a good hand/body lotion? DH uses Nivea on his ears and legs, I love the Vaseline in the yellow bottle though can't use that on my face  ::)

Hi  CLKD
I did have a swab a few weeks ago no yeast infection showed.  I am on vagirux but only take twice a week.I am on Oestrogel gel.  I did come off HRT for a while because of spotting but had to use again as I was getting bad IBS and lots of foods would cause me diarrhoea and stomach cramps. Going back on again improved my stomach a lot but I do have to watch what I eat. I do love bread but I can get  bloated and I also have an intolerance to legumes I also have latose free milk but my diet could be better. I do not eat much sugar and have xylitol in my tea   I also have bakers asthma I cannot work with flour as it makes me sneeze and I get hives if I handle it. I do seem ok eating it and have not had a problem from 40 years of eating gluten and I have been tested for coeliac disease.  Did having a more healthy diet help you?   Nice to hear from you!
