HRT - can protect bones and heart. It can be Trial and Error initially to find a regime that helps. MayB deciding which symptom U would like to ease first B4 deciding what to ask your GP for. Keeping a mood/food/symptom diary can also help to chart progress.
In the last couple of years DH and I have altered our diets; shop bought cakes, scones, croissants - now out because stooge slows my guts down. In November I realised that meusli with milk was causing problems with mid-afternoon wind, so have altered to toast and butter at breakfast.
Do be aware of vaginal atrophy - read the threads here, make notes ;-). Many medics have no clue about this condition which is often due to a loss of oestrogen. The body may become dry: inside and out; skin, scalp, deep in the ears, n nostrils, vagina ........ as well as muscles may become lax = aches and pains.
Let us know how you get on.
