Hello,
I'm completely new to the forum. After late onset perimenopause symptoms (at 55), and still getting periods, I started on HRT. Can't remember the type I was on previously but have been on for a few years Femoston Conti 1/5. Yesterday, at 59, during a HRT review, I told the nurse that I've still been getting periods for at least 2 years whilst on HRT. She's told me to stop the HRT (cold turkey rather than weaning myself off) for at least 6 weeks and has arranged for me to have a scan some time after then. Was kind of terrified at first, then got to thinking it is more than likely Endometrial Hyperplasia - thickening of the womb. Really hope my former perimenopausal symptoms don't return, which were mainly major weepiness, depression, anxiety and insomnia. Have got myself a herbal supplement to help whilst off the HRT. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Jan
