Hi all!

Can anyone tell me how much CloudRx charge for 15 or 30 Testogel sachet prescription please?
I am with Newson Health who use CloudRx but I'm unsure whether to continue with them at the moment as I can't see the cost of the prescription until I have paid £70 for their annual prescription fee.

I am so fed up with having to pay a bl**dy premium for this stuff!

I'm with Newson and it was about £125 for a year's worth of Testogel at the usual dosage of each sachet lasting 8 days.

I am also with Newson and 30 sachets cost me £63.25 plus a courier charge of £6.90. This was in August this year

I had my appointment yesterday and in the past I have always been prescribed 30 sachets. However I was told yesterday that they have now changed their prescribing procedure and now I need to purchase an annual prescription for £70, (which I did in the past anyway as 30 sachets lasted me about 10 months so I was able to get 2 x 30 prescriptions in the year) but she would only prescribe 15 sachets saying I would need to come back and request a second prescription when that runs out.

So I will have to pay £70 plus 4 CloudRx script costs.

I am feeling somewhat ripped off!

My £70 annual Newson prescription fee repeats three times according to cloudxr
A sachet lasts me six days
This is pasted from my receipt from cloudxr in August.

“Your Prescriber, Dr xxxxx, has created you a repeat prescription with 2 repeats available. Your next dispense date is currently scheduled for 24/02/2025.the last dispense date on this prescription is July.”
So that July 2025 dispense will last me into December 25 all from the one original prescription fee of £70 in August this year.
 

So you should be able to get repeats within the year included. I would give Newson a ring and explain your concerns.

I don't think there are any repeat CloudRX costs, that is included in your £70 annual prescription fee.

They keep changing how this works which is a bit annoying and is one of the things that make people think they are being money-grabbing. It's just not good business really.

I've also been stung by having to change my prescription. I had my annual review and was told to increase gel, which I did - but it didn't help raise my serum estradiol levels. So then I had to pay about £100 to have a 10min phone consult to switch to Sandrena. Did that. Sandrena was a disaster, it was like I wasn't absorbing it at all and all my worst symptoms came back within 3 days (inner tremors and shaking all night). So then had to pay ANOTHER £100 for another phone consult to switch to Estradot patches. So it can all get ridiculously expensive. Fine when you are stable and on one appointment a year....
