Hi Blackcat11,
Really empathise with you, also in the same boat here, trying to regain some fitness, particularly strength training as we are all told this helps with menopause and particularly mental health when coming to terms with this horrible condition. It feels at the moment like I have a good day when I can do more and then pay for it by a flare up. I'm trying to work out whether the exercise is triggering the flare ups. There is no consistency to this thing. Even walking somedays is tough.
I'm getting the sense from some of these threads that the more VA flares up the more oestrogen is required. Is this the case? I'm only on one pump estradiol at the moment and wanted to keep it low. Looks like we need to up the ante and experiment. i know some people take much more.
I did find recently a really informative website called 'Celebrate Muliebrity' with a lady called Michelle Lyons, who in Episode 49 of her podcast talks about pelvic floor rehab strategies. One of the top five is exercise.
I think the big lesson for all of us is to learn is perhaps try and modify the exercise and maybe do things more gently?
Fingers crossed you are able to find some balance.
