Been advised by GP that I  have slight thickening of the womb and have to stop my HRT straight away and have the marina coil is this right ?

Have you had a scan and biopsy of the uterine lining?

If so, and it is benign, the mirena IUS is a great treatment option but this absolutely does not necessitate stopping your estrogen.

It can however replace whatever progestogen you are currently taking.

If you don't want the IUS there are other treatments, it is not the only option.

MY biopsy results took 3 weeks and the wait for the hysteroscopy was about 8 weeks but that was because it was done under general. I think it would have been less than a month otherwise.
