Hi there,

I am looking for some reassurance, please. I have recently upped the number of pumps on my Oestrogen from 2 to 4 on Dr advice to help with my mood - I am on sequential HRT - This is the first month of being on a higher dose. I am at the point in my cycle when I have 3 days off my Progesterone - I don't always bleed in this break. I am experiencing cramps in my tummy a sore back and some pain down my legs - all of which feel like period pains I used to have when I was much younger! Do you think this is the increase in Oestrogen? the annoying thing is that my low mood is so much better that if this is due to increase I might just have to lump it!!!

It may be related to the increased estrogen since the timing fits, however it may well be easily fixable by just taking the progesterone continuously.

This doesn't necessarily guarantee you will be bleed free, but being pain free is a good start 🙂

If you aren't always getting withdrawal bleeds anyway this bodes well for little or no further bleeding if you move to continuous.

Dear Bombsh3ll - thank you so much for your reply to me, it really is much appreciated. I spoke to my Dr this morning and she advised staying on the same regime and that hopefully it will get better so I am going to preserve with it for the moment and see.

Any increase in oestrogen causes more pain and bleeding for me, so I would guess its the extra pumps that's causing your cramps.  You have doubled your dose - not sure why doctor didn't increase by one pump first to see how you would get on with it.

Hmmmm Grace - I am beginning to question that myself now! Just blindly went with what she told me!
