Thanks :)

It isn't recommended by many but finding a regime that helps can be Trial and Error.  The body may feel overwhelmed with too much 'extra' too soon.

Let us know.

Hi Maria,
I know my situation's different, (2 pumps Esgtrogel and 1 x Utrogestan in the eve days 1-25) and I've had that discomfort/pain in my chest for a while, but noticed the last few days it had started to dissipate, and I just realised that's because I was on my progesterone break, I had spoken to the docs about it and as Ive only been on it a month she said to let it settled but could well be the Utrogestan causing it.  I'm due for a coil fitting in a few weeks and hoping that helps.

She did prescribe me buspirone to take if it gets really bad.  I haven't taken it yet, don't want to rely on them, have you heard of that?
Though I guess it sounds like it's Estrogen for you.

Not helpful I know but just wanted to say I sympathise, as mine has been awful recently, I'm also very very teary, something I never used to be.

Sending hugs x

Hey,
Thankyou for your message  :)...it is awful at times and just when you think you've cracked it then bam...
I am always second guessing my eastrogen intake but I now know I need more than one pump so will stick with 2 for a while..I have heard of buspirone but have never used it...I use a secondary anti anxiety meds called pregabalin which isn't ideal but it helped me out of a bad place....
I have found the coil a huge benefit and vagifeme also....
It's all so pants isn't it
Sensing back hugs :)

I hear you.. honestly thought mine was settling, then just one day back worse than before, and now I'm at the stage where I'm just accepting it, trying not to fight against it or panic.

if that helps you then it helps you... I'm holding back on using this pill, will only take it if I get really really bad I think.
Good to know you found the coil beneficial, hope I do too!, but concerned about the procedure, but it will be hopefully worth it.

Yep it certainly is.. hope things improve soon for you x

Having the coil fitted was uncomfortable,
Afterwards I was out on vagifeme and when I went for a coil checkup I hardly felt a thing as vagifeme helps soften things up so things not so dry and tense...I wish I had it before having cool fitted..however once you've had it fitted and got used to it being there you honestly will just forget about it...
I'm sure things will improve, I'm already 80% better which is amazing compared to where I was...just these blips knock you back..you too will be better and come out the other side...
It's always lovely to have others ladies on here that understand.  :)

That's great to know!
I hope so, the anxiety is physical right now and then I just link it with everything that's happening in my head and heart and it's constant pangs.
Coil fitting can't come soon enough, I just really hope it's been the Utrogestan causing this chest anxiety or I'm screwed!!

Bless you, hope the blip is brief!
big hugs x

Anxiety for me begins in the gut, instant nausea than my thighs followed by calves become weak  :'( and I am unable to function.  There is no thought process behind this reaction as a therapist tried to insist, "You have to think about it B4 it happens". I walked from that session and never went back!

Maria, have you done a 4 point saliva cortisol test?

It's just that often 'anxiety' is due to high cortisol. When our bodies make less estrogen, they try to compensate by producing more adrenal hormones (adrenaline and cortisol) which in turn makes sleep difficult and increases anxiety.

There are things you can take to reduce cortisol levels naturally. I take Alpha-GPC (choline), zinc, ashwaganda and (in the mornings) rhodiola. It takes a good few weeks to kick in, but does help. As does getting the estrogen up.

I know you're on the coil but often women also benefit from taking progesterone as it's the opposing/calming hormone - but maybe you can't tolerate it and that's why you have the coil...? If you have the coil for bleeding only and can tolerate progesterone, it might be worth seeing if you can get your GP to prescribe you some despite being on the coil.

Hi have not done a cortisol test, I did realise you could do one!!, will look into it...
Anxiety has taken a turn into paranoia and sadness..... things such a pain honestly...
Just to have 1 normal day.  :(
I just feel ugly and not loved at the moment..my self esteem is low...
I've never felt it this bad before..
I don't mean to be negative...maybe I need a pick me up. :)

Chocolate ice cream ?  ;)

How does the paranoia affect you, this needs to be discussed with your GP because there are medications that can help with these symptoms.

This too will pass.  Who would U like to love u?  (And I don't mean George Clooney  ;)  though some of the MotoGP riders can sit on our sofa  )

..... and breath.

;D you always make me smile CLKD
The paranoia affects me by making me feel like my husband doesn't love me anymore and doesn't find me attractive. Some of his behaviours of late have not helped..however he assures me this isn't the case..but he is also going through a mid life crisis which has thrown everything upside down...so it seems to be a time of uncertainty...
As I'm also still in the mix of peri I'm findingnit difficult to navigate it all.  :)
May just go with a friend to spa weekend  :)

Oh  :o :o  a spa weekend means that I would have to shave my legs  :o  :-X which is why I love my evening bath.

Have U dared to sit down and actually discuss your worries, together?  Each of U get an A4 sheet of paper with a line down the middle: top L - positives; top R, what can be improved - you critique him and he does you.  R U missing out on any dreams even if U can't afford to follow up?  Would talking to an outsider help either of you to open up = clearing your heads?

Honesty ;-).

A few times a year I do ask DH 'how can I improve' ........ I'm less feisty than I used to was  ::).  However, 2 day  :bang: :bang: :bang:
