Hi all
I'm completely new here.
51. Tried HRT (evorel sequi) last year,
I was still having pretty regular periods at this point but brain fog was crippling, plis hot flushes. Pactches were great for a while but then after over 6 months I started bleeding randomly, and heavily.
I contacted my Gp expecting them to suggest swapping regimes, but instead they offered me the mini pill to control bleeding.I wasn't keen on adding yet more hormones to my body so declined. A couple of weeks later it dawned on me that it was happening every time I switched hormone types (so every two weeks, for a week

) so I just stopped using the patches, and voila, the bleeding stopped.
I hadn't bled at all for 11.5 months.
In november i contacted my GP and after a bit of a battle was prescribed sandrena gel
However I did not start the gel because I realised the timing was not great for my upcoming holiday in Jan do had delayed taking it.
Then suddenly, 16 December I started bleeding heavily out of the blue.
It lasted about a week.
After a bit of discussion and me pushing the GP referred me to the PMB clinic as urgent, and they did a transvaginal ultrasound. I was expecting to have that, pass with flying colours and carry on with HRT.
I had the scan on Friday and they found that a small area of my endometrium is too thick at 5.4mm. They took two biopsies. The doctor wasn't overly worried she said and kept saying it was probably from the HRT hormones...but that makes no sense as I hadn't taken any for a year or more.
She said I could start the sandrena gel whilst I wait for results as it wouldn't make any real difference even if they do find cancer.
So I started using it on Saturday and since Sunday I've been bleeding - only a little.
I'm really trying not to worry.
Does anyone have any insight. Should I tell the GP about this bleeding or just see if it settles? Not sure what to do...
Sorry for the long post!!
