Fortunately no I don't get itching in my ears, they are just dry with no symptoms.
Do you buy Oral 7 direct from the company, I am certainly interested it trying it.

Yes I just googled the website and bought the starter pack with a few different products.

I use omeprazolol capsules in the morning.  Milk of Magnesia in the afternoon if reflux threatens, also in the night should I get that sudden 'heart attack-like' symptoms.  No sweating or radiation and I've found recently that a sip of bubbled water gets rid of the latter almost at once.

That must be awful for you thankfully I’m not like that

It was. The other thing that has contributed to my condition is ibuprofen products. I had flu before I ended up being referred for endoscopy and I'd been taking ibuprofen. The gastrologust said it causes damage to the stomach lining. Aspirin too. I've not used it since.

Similar here Jules, that stuff is so bad for your gut lining, especially if you take it without food. I hurt my back quite badly before a long haul flight last year and did 24 hours of full dose ibuprofen as recommended by a doctor. Within a few days I had such a bad case of gastritis that I ended up in a&e in Australia and was put on a PPI for a month to heal the stomach lining. I lost a ton of weight and couldn't eat proper food or full portions of food for about two months. I take such good care of my gut now and the reason I use my progrsterone vaginally is because I will not risk taking medication on an empty tummy now. Different with PPIs though, they work better when taken on an empty stomach.

I wonder if ibuprofen causes the same issues if used transdermally, like the voltarol gel you can buy for muscle pain, do you happen to know?

The advice is the same with those too though I've used it once when I had tendonitis. I don't think people always check what's in pain relief medication. Again I think has aspirin in, others have ibuprofen. And the doctor told me to take ibuprofen when I had flu despite me telling her I couldn't because I'd previously had a stomach ulcer induced by aspirin.  She told me to take it with omeprazole which in the end made no difference.

I use Ibuprofen gel most mornings for my back pain, I once used Voltarol gel after seeing the adverts but it gave me the most awful reflux, so intense, never again!
I take paracetamol and sometimes co-codamol for pain, I would never take Ibuprofen in tablet form again like I was able to as it is good for muscle inflammation as long as you don't have stomach issues.

GP said same to me, offered me a ppi for a few weeks as prevention,  but I just didn't end up taking the Painkillers as I'd had such a horrible time with pantoprazole (a different ppi) last year. God knows what I'll do when I get really old and creaky and am desperate for pain relief.

I messaged my gp today as I'm finding it really uncomfortable. Lumpy sore throat, mouth uncomfortable, bad taste and my breath hasn't been great today.  She said its too early to see if the omeprazole is working as its only been 3 weeks and to keep my appointment for 3 weeks time to see how it is then. The thought of another 3 weeks like this is soup destroying 😫

Mummytron - how is your diet overall?  Bad breath can be caused by lots of issues, especially if the gut spasm slows down.  Are U generally 'gassy' up and down?

Little steps.  Farting is good!  Our Jack Russell would let 1 go in her sleep, jump out of bed and look at her tail.  She never realised  ;D.  I have a jacuzzi very often in my evening bath  ;)

Eating little and often can help as it gives the digestive system 'something to work on'.  I find if I have gaps between eating my belly rumbles.
