 :thankyou:  Katejo

Jo1968 - hormones.  It will take a while to sort as they rise and fall more often during peri-menopause.  Be kind to yourself.  It's the Change, does what it says on the tin and few are prepared!

We have a 'dog breed' thread - if you would like to share about your  :scottie:

Hi Jo1968
I also find the forum difficult to navigate and searching for posts can be a chore.

I created this thread on my experience of Vaginal Atrophy, it resulted in helpful posts from other members, I hope you will find it helpful too.

CLKD vagifem every other night and estriol cream nightly externally, I  feel like my now wetter vagina that my fluid irritates me (sorry TMI) internally feels fine, externally I can still be tender some days. I am so much better than I was and i am grateful for that, perhaps this is now the best it will be xxxx

Hi everyone..

Been on the higher dose HRT and the pessery for four days and I seem to be back to normal wee wise .

No coffee no coke.

I'm on green tea now which isn't bad.

The doctor told me to use the pessary every night and then drop to two or three times a week but didn't say when. ..

How long do you think I should stay on every night?

I was prescribed 28 pills .

Do it for 2 weeks then start to reduce, if the symptoms come back you might need to keep to every day use. As you are on systemic HRT too, that might help with easing the VA symptoms, its trial and error at this stage.

I found it impossible to reduce and I have to use Vagifem every day, but I am not on systemic HRT.

Green tea is a diuretic which will make you wee more and having caffeine in it means it can also irritate your bladder. I used to drink a lot of green tea and had to give it up due to VA.

Hi there, sorry to hear you are going through a rough time. These ladies are awesome and will help you immensely. :)
Decaf green tea has the same health benefits but with minimal caffeine, so it won't make you pee so much.  I'm also on Premarin, like Vagifem, and it's really helped me.

Keep us posted.

Just a quick question

My doc said put the pessary up at night as it might make you sleepy ( ideal I thought!)
But I seem to be wide awake and having very disturbed night's sleep.

Also since upping the HRT and pessery starting I get pins and needles and aching arms and legs on and off especially at night.

Any connection do you think?

Yep.  Probably not the VA treatment though and your GP  ???  :-\.

As oestrogen levels alter muscles may become lax = aches and pains.
