Half a patch may be a good thing to start with, as a big hit of hormones after so many years may be a step too far. iI've seen conflicting advice re whether you can cut a patch in half, but found an an NHS site where it told you how to (it was for teenagers who needed patches to help them with puberty).
I was so excited that I've actually been prescribed HRT at my age, but wish I'd read up more on it first, as I'm feeling quite down now. Ironically, in the time since I first raised it with my Dr to getting it prescribed, some of my symptoms (hair loss in particular) seemed to have improved, but the worsening oesteoporosis swung it for me.
Fingers crossed that I can tolerate it.
