UK holiday village chain Center Parcs has been put up for sale by its owner, the Canadian private equity firm Brookfield.

The company is looking to raise between £4bn and £5bn from the sale according to the Financial Times.

Brookfield bought the business for about £2.4bn in 2015.

Center Parcs runs six holiday villages in the UK and Ireland which attract more than two million visitors every year.

The first UK location opened in 1987, at Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire. It now has holiday villages at Elveden Forest, Longleat Forest, Whinfell Forest and Woburn Forest.

I've never been to a Center Parcs site either Jaypo 🤔...
I'm taking mum to Haggerston Castle in Berwick on Tweed at the beginning of June. She does love a caravan  ;D

Aaaaaaarrrgghhh songbird I've been to Haggerston castle twice,my daughter loved it there,although one night,mummy got a bit sloshed and couldn't fine her caravan 🤣😂🤣

Get plenty of drink down you jilly: feet into a bowl of cool water and lots of slap on .......... that's suncream of course ;-)

I've booked a long weekend in Norfolk for end of July  :o

Get plenty of sunscreen on your body!  Wind can cause burning too.  An excuse to drink plenty.
