I’m taking magnesium caps , they are three in one containing all three types of magnesium and they do help to sleep I know it takes a few months I have also found they really help with anxiety I found out this by forgetting to take some over several days. They are from Amazon 90 capsels and you can take from 1-3   I’m taking 2 each day.

I didn’t realise you should take k2 with them, but luckily I’m taking vit d3 that has k2 in it.

My problem at the moment is nausea I’ve had it every day for the past seven days,

Is that Magtein you’re taking Smokey?
I’m not sure Ange would get on with it, as one of the three magnesium’s is glycinate I believe.
Can you confirm?
Yes Magtein is good though and I’ve taken it in the past. Magnesium threonate is one of the only magnesium’s that crosses the blood brain barrier.

Yes it’s good discogirl, I use it too!

As long as it doesn’t upset your tummy, for most it doesn’t, it’s a good one to stick with. X

Magnesium Chloride Flakes 1kg tub https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00837Q5BA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This (can get smaller tubs) and distilled water, 50/50. though I think spring water would work. I think they say distilled so it’s pure as there are other minerals in spring water. But that might not be a bad thing… not sure! I have used spring water too.

I bought two small spray bottles that come with a funnel and make it up about once every 6 weeks in a pan.

I got a bottle of distilled water on Amazon. About £7. It’s all an initial outlay but when you compare the cost of the stuff in the shops (see better you spray) and regularly throwing away a plastic bottle it’s more economical and eco in the longer run. Can get glass bottles too obviously.

It can sting sore skin so be careful.

That's really interesting. I use magnesium sprays as I get a lot of cramp in the night.. I wonder if this would have the same effect

Hi Lynne888,

Im not sure however, I would have thought spray would be more effective than tablets as it's getting into your system quicker.

I use the bisglycinate in tablet form at night as it really helps to relax me

I’m not sure about transdermal magnesium. I think it’s a choice if you cannot take oral magnesium in any form.

But the jury seems to be out on how effective it is.
The authors of this review declare they have no conflict of interest, but you never know!

It’s exactly what you buy in the shops :)

I take oral and transdermal.

I have noticed a helpful effect on muscles etc with the transdermal.

Magnesium should be taken spread through the day but will interfere with thyroxine and possibly iron tablet absorption so I use spray in the mornings
