Hi Molly,
I take magnesium bisglycinate orally.
I take it at night time just to try and help relax me before bed as I have really bad sleep now and anxiety.
I find it is really good.
I believe the glycinate form anyway is good for heart and bone health in menopause and apparantely it helps with menopausal insomnia and low mood.
Apparantely a lot of people don't get enough magnesium from foods due to modern day food processing methods which tends to strip the natural magnesium from the soil.
I should imagine the mag 365 powder which absorb quicker into your blood stream and be more effective I would have thought.

You can also have the odd Epsom
Salt Bath.
I also spray a mag solution (home made, cheaper, v easy) all over body in the morning as I can’t take it orally near my thyroxine. Then some mag glycinate at night.

Magnesium Chloride Flakes 1kg tub
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00837Q5BA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This (can get smaller tubs) and distilled water, 50/50. though I think spring water would work. I think they say distilled so it’s pure as there are other minerals in spring water. But that might not be a bad thing… not sure! I have used spring water too.
I bought two small spray bottles that come with a funnel and make it up about once every 6 weeks in a pan.
I got a bottle of distilled water on Amazon. About £7. It’s all an initial outlay but when you compare the cost of the stuff in the shops (see better you spray) and regularly throwing away a plastic bottle it’s more economical and eco in the longer run. Can get glass bottles too obviously.
It can sting sore skin so be careful.

wow, that's so clever.
I know using magnesium so it's absorbed into the skin is hugely beneficial.
I may give that a go!
Thanks so much Clarella.
I'll write your instructions down so I can follow them and I'll let you know how I get on.
I tend to have quite good skin, so I'm usually okay with stuff.

Just a small tip folks, if your taking magnesium you should always supplement vitamin d3 as well.
https://www.imaware.health/blog/vitamin-d-and-magnesium
The best one to get is Vitamin D + K2, Epigenar is a good brand and price not bad. Take in the morning.

Hi ange
It can do this with some people. I don’t know if you take it with or without food? Try doing the opposite and see if that helps.
You could empty out half a capsule and use that so starting at a lower dose and see if you adjust.
If none of this works you could either try magnesium malate which can be energising so take it in the morning or see if you can find a magnesium topical spray.

Oh I forgot, you could also try magnesium threonate. That could possibly suit you better than the malate as you can take it at night.
Don’t forget the vitamin d + k2 in the morning.
